The ICE Detroit arrest came one day before a federal appeals court upheld a pause on President Donald Trump’s order to deport Venezuelans accused of being members of the violent crime gang Tren de Aragua. While the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the 1798 Alien Enemies Act gave presidents “near-blanket authority” to detain and deport noncitizens from a country at war with the U.S., the three-judge panel ruled the invasion did not apply to a gang.

However, that ruling is not stopping the Trump administration’s mission to make America safe. Early on Thursday, the Trump Administration announced the arrest of a key leader of the brutal MS-13 gang in Virginia. According to White House officials, the illegal alien from El Salvador was one of the top three MS-13 leaders in the United States.
