DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – On Thursday, Detroit acquired Bailey Horn from the St. Louis Cardinals as he will open the season with Triple-A Toledo. Horn was going to be designated for assignment when the Tigers sent cash considerations to complete the deal after the Cardinals signed reliever Phil Maton.
It will be Horn’s second time in Detroit. He was claimed off waivers in November before being designated for assignment a month later. Horn was drafted in the 2020 MLB Draft as a fifth-round choice of the Chicago White Sox. He has been traded to the Cubs, back to the White Sox, and then to the Red Sox.
