PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 34-year-old woman who allegedly abandoned her children in “absolute squalor” for years will not be able to contact them after her Thursday arraignment on three child abuse charges.
Oakland County Judge Ronda M. Fowlkes Gross set a $250 million cash bond for Kelli Marie Bryant. Authorities discovered her children living in deplorable conditions over the weekend. The children, ages 15, 13, and 12, had lived in a home filled with garbage and human waste for years. Bryant abandoned them at least four years ago and the children have not attended school since then. Officials said the children showed signs of severe neglect, including matted hair, soiled clothing, and overgrown toenails.
