MUSKEGON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Questions remain as to why an employee allegedly stabbed a company president during a staff meeting at a Muskegon-area manufacturer on Tuesday morning.

Thirty-two-year-old Nathan Mahoney of Walker has been arraigned. Police said the stabbing happened during a staff meeting at Anderson Express. Officials say sometime during the meeting, Mahoney left. He came back 10 minutes later, walked over to the president of the company, and allegedly stabbed him in the side.

Mahoney left the building but authorities found him a short time later and arrested him. Mahoney faces a charge of assault with intent to murder. The court set bond at 10% cash/surety of $500,000.

The company president was hospitalized and is recovering from surgery.
