NOVI, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 21-year-old Chilean national in the country illegally is facing charges after Novi police arrested her in connection to high-end burglaries in that area.
Law enforcement officers captured Vania Herrera Valdes and charged her with second-degree home invasion and resisting and obstructing. Her bond was set at $100,000.

A homeowner called 911 on Monday, Dec. 2 and said he spotted people on his surveillance system trying to break into his home. Police had been patrolling the area and saw a suspicious van. After a short chase of the van, it stopped and four people ran off.
That’s when police arrested Valdes; three suspects remain at large.
