The gangs hail from Chile, Columbia, and Venezuela. They are using  high-technology alarm system jammers, drones, and tracking devices to break into homes. The primary targets are cash and high-end jewelry. Bouchard noted that many of the homes back up to wooded areas and the gangs likely enter from that spot.
