CASEVILLE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – No word on the porridge or chairs, but the bed seemed “just right” for an alleged Huron County burglar.
The Huron County Sheriff’s Office said a 51-year-old Caseville man faces breaking-and-entering charges after they found him sleeping in a house they alleged he broke into multiple times. Two deputies entered the unlocked residence for a follow-up investigation on Sunday and found Schmidt sleeping in a bed. They quickly determined Schmidt did not belong in the residence and arrested him without incident.

Officials also believe Schmidt broke into another home last month.
Schmidt has been arraigned but remains in the Huron County Jail since he couldn’t pay bond.
