Republican Paul Junge is leading with 10 of the 325 precincts reporting in the 8th Congressional district. Junge holds a 11,329-10,422 lead over Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet on Tuesday, according to ABC.

The 8th Congressional race between Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet and Republican Paul Junge was within 61 votes after the first of 325 precincts reported on Tuesday, according to ABC.
Rivet led by a 655-594 margin. That seat is being vacated by Democrat Dan Kildee.
Rivet has served as the executive director of Michigan Head Start, chief of staff for the Michigan Department of Education and vice president of the Skillman Foundation.
Junge was a prosecutor as well as a TV news anchor. He also worked for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services during President Donald Trump’s administration.
