Updated 11:55 PM ET – Mike Rogers Remains Ahead in Senate Race

Things are still looking up for Republican Mike Rogers who is ahead of Elissa Slotkin in the state’s senate race with an estimated 39.56% of the votes counted. He is winning with 50.2% of the vote vs. 47% for Slotkin.

Updated 10:50 PM ET – Rogers Takes the Lead in Senate Race

As the night wears on, Republican Mike Rogers has taken the lead in Michigan’s senate race with 49.2% of the vote compared to Elissa Slotkin’s 48%, with an estimated 25.17% of the votes counted.

Updated 8:25 PM ET – Slotkin Ahead of Rogers in Early Numbers

As polls close across Michigan, early numbers show Democratic incumbent Elissa Slotkin with a lead over Republican challenger Mike Rogers. With only 4.96% of precincts reporting, the Detroit News has Slotkin currently holding 57.7% of the vote compared to Rogers’ 39.7%.

Republican Rogers served as the U.S. representative for Michigan’s 8th congressional district from 2001 to 2015 while Slotkin currently serves as the U.S. Representative for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, stretching from Lansing to the outer northern suburbs of Detroit.
