LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Nearly half of the voters in the U.S. think election officials are involved in cheating, according to a Rasmussen Reports national poll released Thursday.

The national telephone and online survey poll found 49% of likely U.S. voters believe election workers and officials have enabled fraud in elections. The poll found 27% didn’t think election workers were involved in fraud and 24% were unsure.

The poll was conducted Oct. 27-29 and included 1,854 likely voters. Rasmussen Reports said the margin of error was +/- 2 percentage points and the poll had a 95% level of confidence.

A Marist poll conducted Sept. 27 to Oct. 1 reported that 76% of Americans said they were “very confident” or “confident” that state and local governments could carry out a fair and accurate election this November. But the same poll found that 58% of Americans said they were either very concerned or concerned that voter fraud will occur
this year.

The Marist poll found 86% of Republicans and 55% of Independents were concerned about voter fraud occurring. That poll was conducted using phone interviews, texts or online.
