TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s third largest airport is seeking a $120 million dollar expansion.
Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City has been granted preliminary approval to issue $60 million dollars in bonds. The Airport is in the early stages of adding about 85,000 square feet to its terminal.

Director Kevin Klien says the project is about a two-year cycle. Klein anticipates the expansion will be completed in 2028.
