TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – There’s a need for more pilots in the aviation industry and Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City is taking a big step to meet demand.
NMC has broken ground on a new $7 million aviation hangar. The hangar will expand the college’s aviation facilities and will increase NMC’s capabilities to train pilots by up to 40%.

Currently, NMC aviation enrolls 50 students every year.
