LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Recalled eggs in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois have been upgraded to a highest possible risk classification by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) over salmonella concerns.
The recall first came in early September and involved eggs labeled with “Milo’s Poultry Farms” and “Tony’s Fresh Market” brands. Last week, the FDA assigned it a Class I designation. That’s “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death,” according to the FDA.
