LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Forty Michigan Army National Guard soldiers are on their way to South Carolina to help people impacted by Hurricane Helene.
The Michigan Department of Military and Veteran Affairs announced the soldiers will help assist areas with severe flooding with debris removal and road clearing.

Officials said that the focus in South Carolina will be clearing roadways and areas blocked in by debris. Clearing those areas will help with efforts to get stranded individuals the support and supplies they need.
