ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – U of M fans did not express enthusiasm for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz’s appearance at the Michigan-Minnesota game over the weekend. Apparently, the feeling was mutual.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate attended the Saturday game at The Big House to watch his beloved Minnesota Golden Gophers take on the Wolverines. U of M pulled off a 27-24 victory, but the most talked about moment happened after the final whistle.

After the game, Walz exited through the tunnel where he gave the middle finger to a fan who yelled “Trump 2024!”

The video quickly spread on social media, with some claiming Walz used his pointer finger instead. Others denounced those comments calling Walz “childish” and “creepy.” Another said “Imagine the mainstream media fallout if [JD] Vance did that.”
Walz visited Michigan on Saturday for the game, but both his campaign and former President Donald Trump’s campaign have been hitting Michigan hard with visits and rallies. Michigan is predicted to be a battleground state in the Nov. 5 election, which is just over a month away.
The Harris-Walz campaign has not commented on the incident.
