WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Waffles sold in at least a dozen states, including Michigan, are facing a recall because they may contain foreign objects like soft plastic film.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said the recall covers 7,300 boxes of 40-count “Kodiak Protein-Packed Power Waffles, Buttermilk & Vanilla.”

The impacted packages have UPC code ‘7 05599 01920 3’ on the boxes, expire on Jan. 1, 2026, and include a time stamp of 12:00-23:00. The recalled waffles were sold at Costco warehouses in the Midwest between July 15 and August 25.
Anyone with unused boxes of the recalled waffles should take them to Costco for a full refund, or contact Kodiak via email at flapjacks@kodiakcakes.com or phone at 801-328-4067.
