The Democrat has repeatedly proclaimed that “protecting democracy” is her focus. Many Michigan voters have expressed concern that Benson’s partisanship in a nonpartisan position continues to muddy the waters with her repeated requests to keep selected candidates on or off the ballot. She’s is also refusing to remove tens of thousands of dead voters from the voter rolls.
Also, Benson, along with other Democratic politicians including Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum, are continuing to tell voters that Michigan law requires voter ID. That is not true, per the Michigan Voter Information Center.
Michigan is predicted to be a key battleground state in the Nov. 5 general election. Both former President Donald Trump and running mate JD Vance visited Michigan on Tuesday. Vice President Kamala Harris will swing by the state on Thursday.
