CAMDEN, N.J. (Michigan News Source) – One of the country’s most iconic brands plans to change its name.

Campbell Soup Company, which has been a mainstay in American cupboards for 155 years, wants to drop “soup” from its corporate moniker. Company leaders say there’s more to Campbell these days than just soup, and soup is now a smaller part of the company’s sales. It wants to be known as “The Campbell’s Company.”

Campbell owns a variety of snacks and foods that include Goldfish, Pepperidge Farm and Snyder’s of Hanover.

Shareholders will make the official name change at the company’s annual meeting in November.
