GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – One of the largest art competitions in the world kicks off next week in Grand Rapids.
ArtPrize will run in Grand Rapids from Sept. 13-28.

According to its website, ArtPrize is “a celebration of conversations, experimentation, ideas, and inclusiveness. ArtPrize is free, open to the public, and to any artist working in the mediums of visual or experiential art who has work to enter and a venue eager to host that work.”
In addition, the AllArtWorks Foundation will take part in ArtPrize and showcase 700 works of art, including from world renowned artists like Norman Rockwell and Salvidor Dali.
ArtPrize include parades on opening night, a halftime show with a drumline on Sept. 20 and the closing ceremony on Sept. 27.
