MIAMI (Michigan News Source) – D’Wayne Eskridge’s NFL career is still alive. The former Western Michigan University wide receiver has agreed to be on the Miami Dolphins practice squad. Eskridge was waived on Tuesday by the Seattle Seahawks after being drafted by them in 2021.
He was a second-round pick by Seattle at the 2021 NFL Draft and signed a four-year rookie contract that was $5.9 million with a $1.6 million signing bonus. He played in 24 games in three years but had three hard seasons being on the injured reserve, twice, and missing six games in 2023 due to violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

In his final preseason game with Seahawks, he returned a 79-yard punt for a touchdown against the Browns.
Eskridge played five years at Western Michigan with his best season coming as a senior. He was named to the All-MAC first team leading he conference with 784 yards receiving, eight touchdowns, and 34 receptions. He also garnered the MAC Special Teams Player of the Year with 16 kickoffs for 467 yards and one touchdown.
