EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 10-day trip to Spain has kicked off the new year for Michigan State and Tom Izzo as the team travels to Madrid, Valencia, and Barcelona. The team left on Tuesday spending three days in Madrid and finishing in Valencia and Barcelona.
MSU will play three game on the trip with one in each city. They opened with a 94-87 win over the Madrid All-Starts on Thursday and posted a 105-59 victory on Sunday against the Valencia All-Stars. Sophomore forward Coen Carr had 20 points and seven rebounds as transfer Jaden Akins added 11 points and five rebounds.

Monday brought a Catamaran Cruise for the team for a once-in-a-life experience in the Mediterranean Sea. Their final game will be on Tuesday in Barcelona.
