Rite Aid isn’t the only pharmacy chain feeling the pinch. CVS Health and Walgreens have gradually closed hundreds of stores nationwide. In June, Walgreens said it would close up to 25% of its 8,700 U.S. stores over the next three years. Walgreens has closed 350 stories in the past five years.
