LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Democrat Elissa Slotkin and Republican Mike Rogers each won their respective primary races for the open U.S. Senate seat in Michigan.
They are each vying for the open U.S. Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Debbie Stabenow (D). She has served in Washington for more than 20 years.

Slotkin, who is currently serving her third term in the U.S. House, overwhelmingly beat out actor Hill Harper.
Rogers, the former chair of the House intelligence committee, held a wide lead in the GOP primary. Rogers earned the endorsement of former President Donald Trump.
Slotkin and Rogers will face off in the general election on Nov. 5.
