LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – One Michigan lawmaker has penned a book about Gov. Gretchen Whitmer and beaten her to the punch within days of her autobiography hitting shelves.

Representative Steve Carra (R-Three Rivers) wrote “True Gretchen” and announced its release last Tuesday. He said it’s a parody written in first person as if Gov. Whitmer wrote it herself.

“When I meet people for the first time, they are always shocked by how quickly and efficiently I dismantled a once prosperous state,” states Carra’s website in Whitmer’s parodied voice. “So how did I pull it off, finding myself hovering closer each day to the once-respected White House?”

In an interview with REAL News Michiana, Carra said he started writing the book on May 19 with the goal to self-publish and roll out the book prior to Gov. Whitmer’s July 9 debut date of her book.

“I think [Gov. Whitmer] tries to ignore me but I don’t know how long its going to last for her,” Carra said. “I think this is going to make waves.”

The chapters include titles such as “The man-made virus outbreak” which refers to Whitmer’s arbitrary COVID-19 policies, “Rules for Thee, Not for Me,” “The Kidnapping Hoax,” and “Dealing with the Donald.”

“Michigan has been a playground for global elitists and Gov. Whitmer has been their pawn,” Carra said. “If she does run for president or vice president in 2024 or 2028, this is an opportunity to get to know who she really is.”
