SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The I-500 Snowmobile race track in Sault Ste. Marie will undergo renovations thanks to a $250,000 community enhancement grant from Michigan’s 2025 budget.
The funding will allow renovations to move forward on parts of the I-500 track and surrounding property to be utilized year-round.

The I-500 Snowmobile Race is held the first Saturday of February each year and draws thousands of people each year.
