PONTIAC, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Rite Aid is laying off 191 employees at a distribution center in Pontiac. It will close on Aug. 16.

The move comes as the pharmacy chain works through bankruptcy proceedings. Last week, it announced the closure of 12 Michigan stores along with 15 stores in Ohio.

The future of Rite Aid in Michigan is unclear. Employees have told customers and the media that all Rite Aid stores will be closing soon in Michigan, but the company has remained silent on those details.
