GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan State Police say a minivan lost control and hit a trooper on US-131 early Sunday morning in Grand Rapids.
The trooper, who is recovering from minor injuries, was hit on northbound US-131 near Wealthy Street while performing a traffic stop. Officials said the minivan hit the patrol vehicle as well.

The driver of the minivan is recovering at the hospital with a head injury; the condition of the driver has not been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
