DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Ford Motor Company has ended its “Model e” certification program, allowing all dealers to sell electric vehicles (EVs). This decision will enable 2,800 dealers nationwide to sell EVs, doubling the number previously in the Model e program.

In response to slowed EV sales, Ford is adjusting to meet consumer demand, including reducing retail prices of EVs by 30% since the introduction of the Model e program. The company now requires dealers to install two Level 2 charging stations by the end of March next year.
