LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is hosting a “Three Free” Weekend on June 8 and 9, offering free access to various outdoor activities.
During these two days, residents and visitors can fish for all in-season species without a license, though all other fishing regulations still apply. Additionally, participants can ride 4,000 miles of state-designated ORV trails without needing an ORV license or trail permit.

The DNR is also waiving the Recreation Passport fee, allowing free vehicle access to Michigan’s state parks, boating access sites, and other outdoor locations.
