ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A new electric vehicle car-sharing program is launching Thursday in Ann Arbor.
Affordable Mobility Program (AMP), supported by Avalon Housing, is one of the first of its kind in the nation, along with similar initiatives in Detroit, Portage, and Kalamazoo. The service will debut at Baker Commons, with plans to expand to Hickory Creek and Miller Lane apartments later this summer.

Initiated by Forth and 40 partners in 2021, the AMP EV program aims to bridge the gap in sustainable transportation for disadvantaged communities. It’s touted as an affordable, convenient, and eco-friendly transportation option without the financial burden of car ownership.
