ST. JOHNS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 35-year-old Gratiot County woman has been arraigned on 11 felonies related to a hit-and-run over the weekend that killed two people and injured 13 others.
Clinton County authorities say Ashley Marie Monroe fled the scene but police arrested her shortly afterwards.

Prosecutors alleged Monroe, who is pregnant and the mother of four, had a blood alcohol level of .18. They say the front end of her car sustained damage “consistent” with the crash. Prosecutors told the judge blood and tissue were also found on the car.
In addition, police say they found an empty pint bottle of Crown Royal in her purse.
More charges could be forthcoming.
