LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Memorial Day is the first summer holiday for Michiganders, and AAA says many won’t be wasting time getting the season started.
AAA Michigan predicts nearly 1.3 million Michigan residents are expected to travel that weekend, and that number is expected to exceed pre-pandemic levels.

It will be the second-highest travel forecast for Michigan since AAA began tracking numbers in 2000.
Nationwide, 43.8 million Americans are expected to hit the road for that weekend, which would mark the second-highest traveled Memorial Day on record.
