STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights will be closed and demolished to redevelop the site into a $1 billion city center.
The mall will close on July 1. Groundbreaking for Lakeside Town Center is scheduled for late 2025.
Thirty acres will be dedicated to public spaces, including infrastructure and a central park. The park is expected to include a two-story community center and be a focal point for community gatherings, music, art, and events.
