Trump spoke on the normal themes supporters have come to expect, but he did speak directly to Michigan’s automotive industry. He said New Green Deal policies will destroy the auto industry, which has been a staple of Michigan’s economy for a century.
The GOP nominee also touched on abortion and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to return the policy back to the states. In addition, he said the way the Republican Party has approached abortion in the past, with its all-or-nothing mentality, will kill any chances of conservatives getting elected. Instead, he advocated for a more middle-of-the-road policy that would respect women, their choices, and their unborn babies.
