LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – There’s some extra wiggle-room in Michiganders’ budgets this week.
AAA Michigan says the statewide average for gas is $2.96 per gallon, a six-cent drop from last week and 51-cents lower than last year.

A 15-gallon fill up costs roughly $44, down around $14 from the peak price last year in August.
Jackson gas stations charged the highest prices at $3.02 while Marquette and Grand Rapids boasted the lowest prices at $2.88.
