DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Detroit Lions fans who wanted to attend the watch party at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday will have to settle for watching it on television elsewhere.

Tickets for Sunday’s NFC Championship watch party sold out on Monday less than 12 hours after going on sale to season-ticket holders. The general public scooped them up within five hours.

The Detroit Lions will play the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The winner will go on to the Super Bowl, a feat which would prove historic for the Lions.

Gates for the event at Ford Field will open at 5 p.m.; kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. The game will be shown on all video boards and display screens at the stadium.
