WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Former U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers has endorsed former President Donald Trump for reelection.

Rogers is running for the open U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow at the end of her term.

The former FBI agent, who served eight, two-year terms in Congress before leaving in 2015, also served as the House Intelligence Committee chair.

Rogers is seen as a strong GOP candidate. Current Representative Elissa Slotkin (D-Lansing) is looking to jump chambers; she is viewed as a strong Democratic candidate to replace Stabenow.
