PARADISE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Friday, November 10th marks the 48th Anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. At 7 p.m. tonight, the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum will pay tribute to the lives lost with their annual event at the Whitefish Point Lighthouse in the Upper Peninsula.

The Edmund Fitzgerald went down in Lake Superior just 17 miles from Whitefish Point. All 29 members of the crew aboard died.
