MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Four teens, ages 14 and 15, have been charged and arraigned as adults in connection with a Warren shooting that took place outside a school.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds in a car. Macomb Community College and Warren Woods Tower High School were placed on lockdown.

All four teens were charged with three life felonies, including assault with intent to murder, armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Three were also charged with a two-year firearm felony, after police executed search warrants and found weapons that they believe were used in the shooting.

“My office made the decision to charge these teens as adults,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “This decision was driven by the premeditated nature of their alleged crimes, which involved a shooting. Their alleged actions have left the victim critically injured, as the attack was extremely violent. It is a stark reminder that, in the eyes of the law, these juveniles require the same consequences as if they were adults.”

The victim, a 26-year-old Roseville man who was known to sell cannabis in the area, has undergone several surgeries and remains in critical condition. Police say he will likely be paralyzed.

Bond for three of the teens was set at $750,000, and for the fourth teen at $250,000. All four will be required to wear GPS tethers if they are released. Those charged with gun crimes must also receive a mental health evaluation.

A probable cause conference for all four teens is scheduled for October 3. Authorities are still investigating the possibility of a fifth suspect.
