LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is piloting a new self-check-in process at 13 state parks so guests can skip the line and get to their campsite faster.
The pilot self-check-in program will take place at Baraga, Fort Wilkins, Harrisville, Hoffmaster, Holly, Lakeport, Leelanau, Muskegon, Petoskey, Port Crescent, Warren Dunes, Waterloo and Yankee Springs state parks/recreation areas.

Those with a Recreation Passport can skip the line and go straight to the campsite after 3 p.m. Those without a Recreation Passport can purchase one at the entrance booth before setting up camp.
