DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The initial findings from the National Transportation Safety Board are now available regarding the incident involving a MiG-23 fighter jet at the Thunder Over Michigan air show, which occurred on August 13th.

According to the pilot’s account, the decision to eject was made prematurely by the co-pilot, as the pilot believed that they hadn’t reached a point where ejection was necessary. The aircraft was grappling with engine issues at the time, and the pilot had been actively engaged in troubleshooting these problems alongside the co-pilot.
