SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A popular tourist destination in the Upper Peninsula that’s been a mainstay for nearly a century is in jeopardy of shutting its doors.

For the past 96 years, the Toonerville Trolley and Tahquamenon Falls Riverboat Tours have been giving visitors a magical tour through the Northwoods and a unique experience centered around the Tahquamenon Falls.
The fourth-generation owners of the tour company are ready for retirement, and in 2022 they listed the business for sale.
The last scheduled tour is October 7th and if no one comes forward to buy the company, they say it will be the last one.
