The discovery happened in the summer of 2022 when the historical society worked with Josh Gates of Discovery Channel’s Expedition Unknown.
The group had been searching for a missing 1918 French Minesweeper when they accidentally found the Satellite.
No lives were lost with the sinking of the ship.
