LUDINGTON, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Lake Michigan Carferry says its S.S. Badger will resume overnight passenger and car ferry services between Ludington in west Michigan and Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

The overnight service has been on hold for the past three years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and will start again July 6.

“We have seen a continued increase in traffic and demand for the additional crossing. Many passengers have expressed how much they missed being able to sail at night and we are ecstatic to service our passengers in this capacity again,” Shelby Soberalski of Lake Michigan Carferry said in a news release.

The sailings will be Thursdays through Sundays until August 6. The ship leaves Ludington at 8:45 p.m. Eastern and leaves Manitowoc at 2:30 a.m. Eastern. The full schedule is available on the Badger’s website or by calling 1-800-841-4243.
