LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – November 15th has been the official start of firearm deer hunting season in Michigan since 1968. However, state officials are considering moving opening day to a Saturday.
The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) says hunters have overwhelmingly said they don’t want the start date to change. In fact, 85% want to keep November 15th as opening day, according to recent surveys.
