LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Tuesday, May 9th is the deadline for municipalities across Michigan to register and receive funds from a multibillion-dollar opioid settlement.

Michigan will receive more than $446 million over the next 13 years from the lawsuit involving Teva Pharmaceuticals, Allergan Pharmaceuticals, CVS Pharmacy, and Walmart Pharmacy. Municipalities will be paid a portion of that total.

According to the settlement terms, there are 278 eligible local units of government in Michigan, which includes each of the state’s 83 counties.
