SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Veterans Affairs Agency is reaching out to all veterans in the Upper Peninsula.
The agency offers the Michigan Veterans Trust Fund; it’s designed to lend a helping hand to those living with everyday obstacles such as rent, mortgage, utilities, and more.

Officials encourage veterans to reach out and ask for assistance, and explain how much this can help those living in the rural areas of the U.P.
Since the fund’s creation in 1947, it has benefitted more than 37,000 veterans across the Upper Peninsula.
Spouses and dependents of veterans under the age of 19 are also eligible to apply.
