The MI Senate has passed a bill that would allow alcoholic beverages to be sold to-go.
Temporary legislation was put in place during COVID allowing restaurants to offer carryout
alcohol. This is set to expire in 2026, but the new Senate bill would make it permanent. The
Distilled Spirits Council pointed out that 18 other states already legalized the sale of carryout
alcoholic beverages.
