DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – The way of the Red Wings has come in streaks this year. In February, at one point, they won seven out of eight games. Now, they have a six-match winless streak after falling to Philadelphia, 3-1. They still stand at 28-26-9 with 65 points.

Detroit opened the game with a goal just five minutes in by David Perron for his 16th goal of the year. That lead last through the end of the first and into the second period. Philadelphia tied the game at 6:53 in the second and then added the go ahead goal later in the second, 2-1. Their third goal came in the third period on an empty net at 18:12.

Ville Husso had 34 saves against 36 shots stopping all 14 shots in the first period. He says after the loss, “It was frustrating, for sure. I think we were in a good spot going into the second period. Really good hockey for us in the first 10 minutes of the second, then we gave it away for them.”

Detroit will be home on Wednesday taking on Chicago for the Women’s History Night at Little Caesars Arena.
