WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Failed Michigan gubernatorial candidate Perry Johnson is earning recognition as a presidential candidate only a few weeks into his 2024 run.

At last week’s CPAC conference in Washington, D.C., Johnson came in third in the straw poll behind Former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has not declared a bid for the White House.

In addition, Johnson delivered a speech at CPAC where he outlined his “Two Cents” plan. According to a social media post, Johnson’s plan centers on “saving the American Dream and reigniting the American economy. Johnson also said, “We’ll take back the country from Joe Biden, tame inflation, and get the nation back on track!”

Johnson’s campaign comes months after the Michigan Board of Canvassers bounced him and several others from the August primary ballot for insufficient and fraudulent signatures.
